Welcome to Barnhouselife, a place where I share from scratch recipes, our journey in becoming more self-sufficient. A place we are learning to preserve food, garden, farm and have a simple life.

I grew up out in the country in southwest Missouri and am a country girl at heart. I love to cook and bake. I am a coffee addict and I enjoy learning new things. I have been homeschooling my children for over 7 years.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 24 years. I am a homeschooling mom to three children. Two girls and one boy age 15, 8 and 2. We have lived in apartments and subdivisions, but our desire was to have place all our own to enjoy the outdoors be able to grow our own food and have more freedom.

We moved to our Barn house May of 2021. It is built as a pole barn, the upstairs is the living area, downstairs you will find half garage and half barn. We have six acres to enjoy and raise animals. Come follow along on our journey.
