Pumpkin spice latte is the fall drink I love. Made famous by that mega chain of coffee worship we all know; Now I enjoy my coffee at home so much more. Some people love it while others hate it.
The popular flavor has inspired a wide range of product variations that appear on a seasonal basis.
The earliest a PSL has been rolled out is in August. My husband started to make this for me at home and I can drink it all throughout the year.
- Pumpkin puree. Canned or homemade puree will work in this recipe.
- Vanilla. Store bought or homemade.
- Sweetener. Granulated sugar, stevia, honey or maple syrup will all work.
- Pumpkin pie spice. Store bought or homemade.
- Cinnamon.
- Salt.
- Pepper.
Directions:
- Combine all ingredients in a medium size saucepan.

Pumkin spice latte mix
- Stirring frequently over medium heat until the mixture (about 10 minutes) is lightly brown.
- Let cool and then put in a glass container with lid and refrigerate.
- Use about a tablespoon of mixture to make a latte.
Latte:
- With an espresso maker – mix the puree mixture in with half a cup of milk.
- Steam/froth it (if you don’t have a frothier a shaker bottle or immersions blender will also work)
- Brew your espresso then add the pumpkin spice mixture into the cup
- Top with homemade whipping cream and a dash of pumpkin pie spice

- 1 Mediu saucepan
Ingredients
- 1 15oz can pumpkin
- 1/4 cup vanilla
- 1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients into a medium size saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes or until the mixtures is toasted and looks slighlty brown.
